Screenplay :

As her father has cut off her means of subsistence, Nancy, the daughter of an American millionaire has decided to work to earn her living since then.

She settles in the Latin Quarter. Marquis Alain de Servet covets her fortune to boost his familiy fortunes.

He has her watched by a young and talented writer, penniless, Maurice, who falls in love with Nancy and refuses to go on his task.
