Summary :

“ The imaginary illness” would be as good an alternative title for this comedy Helen, a model wife, discovers psychoanalysis; Her apppreciation of things around her is turned on its head and her husband seems to her to be struck with serious neurosis. Guided by a psychoanalyst, she sets off in search of his complexes. Her husband meanwhile, is so surprised by her singular behaviour, that he begins to have serious doubts as to the mental health of his wife.

Psychoanalysis brings a touch of extravagance to the calm provincial town where the devoted couple live.
